St George-in-the-East, on Cannon Road (London) is looking for volunteers
Saturday 17th April 2010
ReFresh is looking for 16-25 year olds, to get involved in a day of painting! (11am-4pm), to help preserve one of East London's architectural treasures.
St George-in-the-East is one of only six Hawksmoor churches in London, built in 1729 and is a few minutes east of the Tower of London.
We are looking for 10-15 volunteers to help paint the churches two spiral stair-cases.
Volunteers will be provided with lunch, a t-shirt and a trip up the tower!
We're looking for volunteers who want to give something back to the community, while meeting new people and having some fun! The volunteering days are always laid back and enjoyable, and this day will have the added bonus of a trip up the Tower - offering great views of London!
Get involved and help preserve our history!
