On 24th June and 26th October, a group of ReFresh Volunteers went into Birmingham Cathedral to offer their painting serives.
Volunteers painted the Music Room, which had formerly been used as a crypt! and the Cathedral Undercroft.
Volunteers came from local schools and also as far as STOKE-ON-TRENT to offer their services! And we had two great days of painting.

On 17th March 2009; over 60 volunteers attended Houghton Hillside Cemetery (between Durham and Sunderland) to carry out conservation work.
The day was a real success thanks to the organisational skills of CSV's Brian Watson.
A major task undertaken was the removal of the graffiti from the cliff face and also the Lych Gate. Pictures to the left show the cliff face during and after the graffiti was removed.
Friends of Houghton Hillside Cemetery said:
"The amount of work carried out was absolutely amazing. In twelve months the group could not have carried out the amount of work which was done in 1 day!!!!! The Friends cannot thank Brian and his colleagues enough!"

On the 24th of February 2009; a total of 10 volunteers from The Leighton Project carried out a ReFresh day at Our Lady Help of Christians R.C Church in Kentish Town.
The day was a great hit with the group performing a number of helpful tasks including the dusting and de-cluttering of the main hall, as well as giving the church gallery a spring clean!
Jenny Pound who co-manages the Leighton Project said “Thanks for giving our students the opportunity to volunteer. They all really enjoyed themselves and are keen to repeat the experience in the summer term.”
